Ever dreamed of owning a property in an international location? How about owning five of them?
This is the story of our next speaker, Hailey Young.
Hailey is a lawyer turned real estate investor. She stopped practicing law when her son was born in 2019 and ever since then, she has been focused on real estate. She and her husband own properties in multiple locations in the US and they own five properties in Portugal.
Why buy five properties? A big part of the reason was to be able to get a Golden Visa. For those who don't know what a Golden Visa is, it's a program that allows you to get a visa if you invest a certain amount in a country.
But the question is, what do you do with five international properties? As any good real estate investor would do, instead of letting them sit empty, she turned them all into short-term rentals.
